A Note From Our FounderWhy We Started SoftWig
SoftWig began the way many small craft brands do — out of frustration. After years of buying “premium” wigs that felt anything but — stiff lace that scratched the scalp, knots so heavily bleached the hair shed within months, hairlines so obvious you could spot them from across the room — we decided the industry needed a different standard.
What started as one stylist hand-building wigs in a back room is now a small, focused team obsessed with three things: realism, longevity, and how it actually feels to wear all day. Every cap, every knot, every hairline graduation is built the way we’d want it for ourselves — soft enough to forget you have it on, strong enough to last a year or more.
We named it SoftWig because that’s the goal: soft to the touch, soft on your scalp, and soft on the planet.

The Art of CreationMasterful Craftsmanship
Most wigs treat “natural-looking” as a marketing line. We treat it as a manufacturing decision — and it shapes everything we do.
We specialize in 13×4 and 13×6 placement lace front caps, hand-built to mold to the natural head shape and engineered for glueless ease and full-day breathability. The 13×4 gives a clean, lightweight everyday hairline; the 13×6 opens up a wider parting space for middle-, side-, or center-back styling. Both share the same construction philosophy: a graduated, hyper-realistic hairline with single, microscopic knots that read as scalp under any lighting — close-up, on a phone camera, in natural sunlight.
To get there we deliberately avoid harsh chemical bleaching. Bleach is the industry shortcut for invisible knots, but it gradually destroys the cuticle and is the single biggest cause of shedding within months. We use a controlled, minimal lightening process at the perimeter only — enough to disappear, not enough to weaken the strand. The result is a wig that stays full and shed-free for 12 months or more with everyday wear.
